Great software doesn’t come from better tools, more testing, more reviews or really really cool AI tools. It comes from a team’s culture of members working together as a unit. But, for that we need to approach it with the same care to our culture as we do to our code: designing, reviewing, and refactoring it. A great team of developers, engineers or tech teams in general runs on more than just code. It runs on shared principles, or call it culture if you will. Those are also the main factors that determine whether a team will succeed, meaning constantly putting out great results, or fail hard in the long run.
